Golden Gate Hotel Fremont Street Las Vegas Strip Gambling
Golden Gate Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas Vegas.
Music playing all night so hard to sleep.
Valet parking so difficult to come and go easily.
Good if you are partying with the rest of partiers, not good if you are an older person who wants to sleep.
No RESTURANTT NO COFFEE!
Well, the room that I got was horrible.
The size was so small.
The price did not match the quality of the room.
I thought i was in a motel 6.
The knobs on the shower were falling off.
The service was marginally checking in.
The hotel D was much better and I would review that one way better.
The service and layout of the room and shower were all really good.
I usually try to be positive but this hotel was not much to be positive about.
Greeted with Smiles and very helpful golden gates casino las vegas everything was located.
Clean, spacious and noise free Suite.
Missed the restaurant that was there but close eateries by.
Highly recommend property stay.
After a horrible experience at another hotel, we booked the suite at Golden Gate and we were very satisfied with the service and quality of the room.
Super convenient to fun activities on Freemont.
Staying here was a terrible idea for me.
I got almost no sleep because of the proximity to Fremont Street Experience.
After the click at this page night, I was moved one story higher, but it did not abate the noise problem.
To their credit, the desk agreed to rebate the click at this page fee.
The maid cleaned after the second day.
Secondly, you either showered in scalding hot water or ice cold water.
There Was no in between.
I have Stayed here before and you Get what you pay forbut this was very bad.
Golden Gate Hotel is very outdated and needs a complete overhall.
Scalding golden gates casino las vegas water, tiny rooms with control's for air conditioning that did not work.
Noise level from freemont street experience was very loud all night long You need to disclose to prospective patrons the loud and constant noise that is part of staying at this hotel.
Had I known about this disruptive noise I would not have stayed at this hotel.
One of the bands performing for the Freemont experience plays on a stage right outside the hotel.
The noise is goes on until 2 am and is so loud it will keep most people from sleeping.
I thought it would be interesting to stay at the oldest hotel in Vegas, but it was a disappointment.
Old buildings are like old cars in the sense they have historical significance and maybe interesting to look at, but they just aren't practical and are very limited in functionality for standards of today's world.
The room was tiny and the mattress was mush.
I arrived before the posted 3.
The indifferent front desk representative asked for my number so I could be notified when my room was ready.
At 3:15 I walked back, and sure enough the room wAs ready, but I never got a call.
Why set the expectation?
Every other hotel that has done this has called.
I asked for a room away from Fremont as I arrived early from the East and knew I would probably be to las vegas demolished casinos early.
The same completely indifferent clerk said ok.
I was give a room on the second floor ON the Fremont Street side, but across the hall from the rooms that directly overlook the street.
So the request to be away from the street got me across the hall.
The room was very small.
The bathroom was not updated.
A posted sign says in the cooler months they offer heat only.
This was the same around the clock, even at 7:00 am when nobody was in the casino.
This hotel has zero amenities.
The front desk worker seem to dislike their job and the customers.
The golden gates casino las vegas club, dealers, servers, bartenders were all pleasant.
I would not stay here again.
I would not recommend it because I have stayed in every other major hotel downtown, and this is by far the worst.
I only stayed one night because my normal hotel was booked.
After this one night I moved to that hotel and golden gates casino las vegas not believe how quiet it was, or maybe how noisy the Golden Gate hotel rooms are.
Small casino right on Fremont means small parking but enough parking for everyone.
Walk outside and your on Fremont.
Bedrooms were interesting older of course lots of different styles tiles and colors.
You can hear Fremont nosie so don't expect to go to sleep to early.
We arrived to discover that the restaurant was gone no replacement.
There was no pool.
There was no gym.
On top of that the surly front desk attendant tried to double charge for the reservation.
I had to argue that I had already paid via Vegas.
Then I was informed that the hotel was under renovation, and that the work could take place at any time.
This was accurate, and the work took golden gates casino las vegas at both 1:00 AM and 4:00 AM on a Saturday.
Imaging Godzilla beating up a train with a sewer pipe.
Also, the AC was only working at half strength, so the room was HOT during the day and sticky at night.
I had to call several times to get the bathroom sink unclogged gross.
The room was tiny, and it provided a stunning view of the non-functional AC compressors on the rooftop.
We departed a day early, due to the heat and general low quality of the establishment.
Every time you open the door it hits the commode.
No way it can accommodate more than one person.
The other thing was no coffee service in the room, in the bar and no restaurant available.
We where very surprised by the small an d out dated rooms because we where under the impression the hotel was re modeled and updated.
Apparently only some of the hotel was updated.
I wish that Vegas.
Get a deluxe room and you will be much happier!
However when we talked to the front desk about updating and changing our room they where very nice this web page helpful.
We where able to upgrade for one night and moved to a nicer 'standard' room for the next two nights.
Four stars because of the helpful front desk staff!
This is where the bargain shrimp cocktail originated.
