Unboxing a Schecter Blackjack C-1
That is about all I have to say about the show we did this past weekend.
We did far beyond our expectations in sales and it made me just that much more excited about the upcoming Halloween Season.
I am now positioned to take the business to the next level.
Let me tell you a little about the show itself.
It was a beautiful morning.
Getting set up we had my son come out and help us two old folks getting everything ready.
The booth worked great and we were able to get everything to show nicely.
It was a cloudy morning, making everything a little bit cool during set up, but things changed as soon as the sun started burning the cloud cover off.
Our booth was set up to invite people into it which left my wife and I on the outside.
And so for 12 hours, from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm we were out in the sun with no shade to speak of.
I really thought I had brought enough water, but we were out by 2:00 in the afternoon, and by about 6:00 my wife was suffering from the heat and we had to find shade for her to rest for the remainder of the time.
That makes it sound like a horrible ordeal, but quite the contrary.
Despite the heat, people came out in droves.
We had over 20,000 people show up and it was a great time to be had blackjack c 1 atx all.
Lots of costumes and music filled the streets and the people who visited were the friendliest people to talk to.
From 5:00 7:00 it opened up for the kids to go Trick or Treating to all the booths.
I estimated we gave out about 1200 pieces of candy in those two hours.
I wished them all a Happy Halloween as they left.
We had just got everything boxed up and I was loading the canopy into the van when a lady ran up and started looking at my boxes.
Can I still buy it?
What a bunch of wonderful people.
We stopped at a little Chinese place and went through 2 liters of water before our meal was brought out, target blackjack shoe then went through about the same amount of Diet Coke before we were done.
All in all it was a great success and a day for the books.
Now, since the show, I have had time to reflect and do some serious thinking about the direction of the business.
The shows are fun, I make some actual money for a change, but when you think about the hours and expense spent on getting ready for a show and building up inventory etc.
In order to keep up with it all just might put me in an early grave.
I am going to try and get back to the original business plan of building the site, doing tutorials and reaching out to teach others about creating Halloween Decor.
If I can get the visitors to the page, then I can sell advertising and start getting a more substantial income.
Here are a few pics of my booth.
I hope you visit the webpage more often.
I promise to have new things on a constant and continual basis.
Hi Everyone, I am sorry for being a bit distant the last week or so, but I have been posting regularly on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter.
Be sure to follow me on the social media and you will actually be more updated since time restraints have held me back on keeping you updated on the blog.
Two more days, this coming Saturday will be our first show in Magna, Utah.
We are basically using this show to set up the new booth and see how everything will work for the rest of the season.
This is a list of some of things we will have there.
I will be so excited to post pictures of the show and especially the booth.
That would be exciting.
Not exciting as to the size, but exciting to see how well I can talk my wife into getting another booth tent and paying double for every show.
I have been putting in regular 16 hour days.
Every night I climb into bed with some sort of project or something and work until I fall asleep.
I will let you know as soon as I figure it out.
I will talk to you again soon with the results of the coming weekend.
I was going to be a clown for Halloween.
This was a popular year for that.
I knew of about 10 kids in my class at school who were going to be clowns.
The important thing was to make sure you were the best one.
I was going to be the best clown ever.
My best friend and I sat down and made the attack plans for our night out on the town.
We drew out a map of the neighborhood streets and calculated which houses would have the best candy.
Chidester was an airline pilot and he made really good money.
They usually had full size candy bars and so the plan was made with his house as the starting point and we would branch out from there.
The night came quickly and as soon as I got home from school I got adorned in my clown costume.
I no longer cared about the costume as much as hitting the streets.
My mom gave me a little paper bag to put my stash in, I laughed at the thought that she had so little confidence in me.
I ran downstairs to my bedroom and pulled my pillow case from my pillow and headed out the door.
They dressed us up and sent us out in the scary world to fend for ourselves.
That was a very good thing, because they would just slow us down in our quest to fill the pillow case.
It was a great night.
The candy started filling the pillow case as we ran as fast as we could between houses.
Well at least the bottom of it.
I had to go that direction because it was on the way back to my house, but there was a spot where no homes had been built and there were no street lights either.
If monsters were real and vampires and ghosts really haunted the world, then this is where they all lived.
Scrub oak trees lined the sides of the street and so we stayed right in the middle of the road giving us time to run if there was any movement inside the trees.
When we finally arrived home after such a narrow escape we poured out our bounty on the living room floor and were so proud of what we hauled in.
What great Halloween memories I have growing up.
Today things are a little bit different but the memories will be just as great for those kids that brave the haunted streets on Halloween night.
I remember the fear and excitement that I had during the years of the street at the top of Cherry Blossom Lane.
I should write a story about all the things that I am sure were going on in the little patch of darkness.
I hope that kids today have some of the same feelings that I did as they go trick or treating.
That little bit of the unknown is what makes the memories become etched into our minds.
That is why I try and decorate my yard the best I can, and I am excited to see so many others doing the same.
As the kids roam the streets on that darkest of dark nights I want them to feel like they have stepped into the unknown and give them a few chills as they enjoy the mysteries of Halloween.
I wanted to show a gallery of pictures of my Haunt this year.
I hope you enjoy and I especially hope it can give you some ideas for your own haunt and maybe help make it a little more creepy.
A little dry brushing brings them to life.
My corpsed Demon Dog.
I truly love the macabre, while my wife loves the cutesy.
While I would like to argue that, the truth of the matter is that women do 90% of the decorating shopping and cutesy is where the money is at.
So I have tried my best to bring these two styles together.
I hope you enjoy the rest of the room where macabre meets cutesy.
Dont be afraid to mix the Macabre with Cutesy.
Everything works for Halloween.
Even the silly picture lights up along with many other items leaving a dark creepy feeling at night.
My eye bouquet makes a great centerpiece.
Very simple dining area as it will be moved frequently for party activities.
This year we are doing a Creepy Carnival themed party.
My front yard however hopefully brings in the theme to show things to come.
We first welcome everyone into the Parkinville Cemetery.
Freddy is always excited when he gets his lantern lit to show everyone the way.
As the guests stroll through the cemetery they have to find the grave of the jester which has a token.
Once the token is inserted, the lights turn on and creepy carnival music begins playing as the front door opens and welcomes them in.
Still in the beginning stages, I hope the cemetery grows a lot more each year.
Parkinville Cemetery The front porch gives away the theme.
The front door is a thin insulating foam velcroed on existing door.
The tutorial is found in our tutorial section.
I made these porch lights.
Check out the making hands tutorial on our web page as well.
A glimpse of the front porch with ticket booth and the blackjack c 1 atx is animated and lowers himself back and forth on the wall.
The Ticket Master welcomes you.
I just wanted to drop a quick note to let you know that due to popular demand, I made another Hamsa Hand.
You know, the hand with the blackjack c 1 atx eyeball in it?
I wanted to keep it myself but my wife told me that if I kept everything that I wanted then I would never sell anything.
I get the message.
So check it out in the store.
It is in stock and ready to ship.
Okay, my wife left the room.
It looks great also in a witches apothecary setting, but this year I was thinking of putting it under a glass dome in the freak show and write a little story about it.
But, hey, if you do want it, then I guess I can just make another one, of which my wife will make me put it up for sale also, and on and on.
Take a look at it.
I love it and it will be sure to add that special creep factor you are looking for.
This is not recommended for your desk at work.
Your boss watches you enough as it is!
The one I just sold, the customer said she was really into the unusual and will display it all year long.
What a great idea.
Happy 4th online 888 blackjack July weekend to you all!
What a wonderfully hot July day.
This holiday is one of my families favorites.
Umm next to Halloween of course.
The grandkids are all excited to spend these next couple of days in solid celebration.
In our little town we have join trademark poker blackjack accessories set business great parade where a ton of candy is thrown out to the kids.
All the kids eyes bug out in excitement as the motorcycle police with great precision run over read more toes and my granddaughters all have huge smiles on their faces as they do that fancy little side wave to all the beautiful princesses on the floats.
As for me, I get clowns on unicycles handing me flyers telling me who to vote for in the next election.
https://nycwebdesigner.org/blackjack/how-to-get-blackjack-out-of-clothes.html there will be the movie in the park with free popcorn, and then tomorrow all day long we will be at the carnival.
There will be many booths to enjoy and music galore, but I will be spending most of the day hunting for shade and watching the kids get sick on the rides.
Did I see more this was one of my families most favorite learn more here />For some strange reason, along with the sun burns, sick kids and heat exhaustion, I still look forward to this weekend every year.
I hope your weekend will be as great as I expect mine to be.
A few days ago I received a comment that they loved the eyeballs that I have for sale in my store, but they were just starting out in the Halloween decorating.
They felt it was a little too expensive to buy a dozen pair to fill a specimen jar and they asked for some ideas.
I thought about it a bit and realized that even though having a lot of eyeballs was pretty cool and creepy, just having one set of eyeballs in your decor is just as creepy if not more so.
It really catches someone off guard if they are looking at your apothecary set up and suddenly glance across a pair of eyeballs staring back at them.
Try just taking a pair of eyeballs, finding a small jar, put a little vegetable oil in it and you have yourself a great Halloween decoration and addition to your growing apothecary.
If you want to maybe give a special gift to each of the kids, or use as part of your invitation to the party, Just drop one single eyeball into the jar and decorate it as you please.
Remember that if you want to put the eyes into a liquid, make sure it is something like vegetable oil.
If you have any other ideas on what you can do with eyeballs, please share them with me.
I would like to get as many ideas out there as I can to help everyone make their Halloween Decorating a success.
